History of scl
Formation of the League:-
Super Cricket League was formed in the month of july in 2018 with the idea of its 1st 3 co-founders
Muhammad Riyan Khan - Muhammad Ahmad - Hafiz Muhammad Hassan. Basically they play cricket
on roof and make different formats and rules so that they could enjoy this form of cricket but then
they came with the idea of this league the name was decided and given by Muhammad Ahmad and then
they made this league and work about weeks to make a proper format of league and rule of the league
they designed trophy and each and every thing and then they played their first season in August 2018
1st ever SCL consist of 4 Teams Silent Killer-Sultan Sixers-Giant Wolves-Naseem Stars in which Sultan
Sixers beat Silent Killer in the final and claims its first season title. Then this league continues but untill
season 2-10 only 3 teams participated but from Season 11 teams was added Team Gladiator and in season
12 Team Thunder and Legend Stars were added into the teams. In Season 18 Team Thunder become the
fourth team to won an SCL when it beats GW in the Final, As there are only 4/8 teams that are able to win
this SCL Title. As SCL stadium was upgraded upto full high conditions so the players could play in pure
easy mode and teams could remain safe. Untill now this is the history!
Tournament Format
Tournament is split in double Round Robin format as every team play each other and then top 4 will qualify but
now 5 teams will be added to the playoffs while if 8teams took part in SCL so there will be no Round robin. So
SCL management decides to make 2 groups and to allow top 2 teams from both groups to qualify and the 5th
team will be decided by undertaking the no.3 spot team in the group and both team from group A and B will
be compared and one with more points or better strike rate will be qualified for the play offs. SCL will not be
played if less than 4 teams are available
